Dr. Darren Jones OD
Dr. Darren Jones, OD is a native of Aurora, CO and alumni from Rangeview High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science from Brigham Young University before going on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston. Before moving back to Denver, Dr. Jones completed an externship in ocular disease and surgical management with the “Eye Center of Texas” in Houston TX.
Dr. Jones is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Colorado Optometric Association. He loves helping people improve their vision. He believes everybody should be able to see the beauty of Colorado to the best of their ability. He specializes in myopia management, specialty contact lenses and treatment of dry eye disease.
Dr. Jones and his wife Ashlee enjoy the busy life of raising 5 kids. If you see a car with a giant bike or ski rack on it, there is a good chance it is the Joneses off on an adventure.
Dr Alfonso Puzzo OD
Dr. Alfonso Puzzo OD is a licensed Optometrist having practiced in both the United States and Canada. He holds four degrees from multiple world renowned institutions including McMaster University, University of Toronto, and Nova Southeastern University.
Dr Puzzo enjoys keeping up with technology both in and out of eyecare. He understands the demands we put on our eyes and has been published in industry magazines on how to keep eyes safe in a world of increased screen time.
Dr Puzzo has experience working in large medical eye clinics as well as smaller private practices. This allows him to tailor your eye exam to meet your specific needs. At Smoky Hill Eye Care it is very important that you have a very thorough eye exam. It is equally important that we take the time to explain everything that is being checked or tested. We know you are your best health advocate, and we will ensure you have the understanding to make sound decisions. Dr Puzzo’s has a calm chair side manner, and he enjoys educating patients about their eyes and how they can maximize and maintain their vision. He is also a big sports fan. Go Avalanche!
